If you're holding the party at a function room, this should be on the stage backdrop. You can get a colourful banner as the center of the backdrop and get birthday flags and streamers to add to the backdrop. If you have balloons, add balloons at the side of the backdrop.
The backdrop can be themed, elaborate or simple - it is really up to you. This not only makes the whole party look more fun right from the start, but also has the added advantage of letting your guests know that they have reached the right venue for the party!
