ToddlersParenting Tips! Toddlers/Preschoolers
Don't be too strict about your child's clothing matching perfectly. At this age, children are beginning to express their individuality and they love to put all sorts of wacky combinations together. To you, it looks like their closet exploded all over them, but to them, they are a work of art! As long as it isn't family picture day, try to be flexible in allowing them to choose their own clothing combinations.
Bedtime can be quite an ordeal at this age. Children may be afraid of the dark or of monsters or of being alone. A consistent routine can help keep the fears from getting out of hand. A warm bath, teeth brushing, and pajamas followed by a story, prayers, hugs, kisses, and snuggles can help.

Headlice and Nits Safe Natural Treatments Most treatments are toxic and are not recommended for Toddlers. Here are three different treatments from parents. As always, this is not medical advice. Please check with your doctor if you have any concerns.
Treatment#1
Combine 1/2 tsp. each of Eucalyptus, Pennyroyal and Rosemary. Then add 2 1/2 tbls. pure olive oil. An Adult needs to try the mixture on his/her skin to make sure it doesn't burn. If it does, add more olive oil. After washing your child's hair with very hot water (as hot as the child can stand! ) Comb the oil mixture through hair with a regular comb (throw away kind) Then use a flea comb, comb out any nits or eggs. Tie a cotton scarf around child's head and leave on over night. It may tingle, but if it burns wash out immediately and dilute the mixture and try again.
Potty Training Tips: is My Child Ready? This is by far one of the most common questions and concerns parents have when considering beginning their Toddlers on toilet training. After all, it can sometimes be difficult, as much for parents as for their children, to take the plunge into big-kidhood. So, what’s the answer? Sooner than you think.
In fact, experts recommend parents begin to potty train their kids between the ages of 18 and 24 months. Beyond age, the most important determinants of when a child is ready is whether or not the child is able to fulfill certain “readiness requirements”, such as being steady on her feet and able to sit on the toilet. Showing an interest in using the potty is another great sign your child is ready to begin.
How Can I Help Ensure My Child’s Success?
This is a great question.
