Empowering Kids to Reach Their Dreams
Author: Rita Offen
Whatever your child’s talents, you can help him feel loved and therefore empowered to do whatever he desires. This involves concentrating on your interaction and personal relationship with your child, the language you use, the love you show, the trust and responsibility you bestow upon him, and just being happy with him whatever his likes and dislikes, and whoever he is.
The way we think influences how we feel, our self-esteem and our achievement. As a parent myself I can honestly say that parenting is certainly in no way easy. I believe that parents are best placed to decide what is right for their children and family, based on their own values, circumstances and lifestyle.
Parents need to build a bond between themselves and their children. They are the single most important influence in their children's lives, and need to recognize and deal with their children's most challenging traits in a positive manner.
